Bitting Named to NFHCA Senior Team

The University of Louisville's Alli Bitting has been named to the 2021 National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) Senior Team as announced by the organization today.

Alli Bitting (Hummelstown, Pa.) was a defensive mainstay for a Louisville team that allowed just 18 goals in 20 games (an ACC-leading .848 goals allowed per contest) while posting seven shutouts. The fifth-year defender also registered three goals and dished out three assists. She was a 2021 Preseason All-ACC selection and earned conference Defensive Player of the Week honors in August.
• The team co-captain established a solid resume, earning NFHCA All-America second team honors in 2019 and 2020. A three-time All-West Region selection, Bitting was also named to the 2020 NCAA All-Tournament Team following the Cardinals first-ever Final Four appearance.
• Bitting also took home her third straight All-ACC nod this season.

The sixth-ranked Cardinals finished the 2021 season with a 16-4 overall record, matching a school record for wins Additionally, the Cardinals won the 2021 ACC regular season title after compiling a program-best 6-0 record in ACC play.
