Cardinals go into winter training mode next
EARLYSVILLE, Va. — The University of Louisville rowing team completed competition at the at the Rivanna Romp Sunday (Nov. 14) on the Rivanna Reservoir to conclude its fall season of racing.
Action began with the Varsity Eights, followed by the Varsity Four and novice crews. Boats went off one at a time, about 10-15 seconds apart, in a time trial to determine the winners.
The Virginia rowing team swept all three races, winning the Varsity Eight, Varsity Four and Novice Eight as the Cavaliers concluded their fall season.
The annual regatta featured crews from Clemson, Duke, Louisville, Navy, North Carolina and SMU.
The Cardinals V8+ finished with a time of 14:08.9, with the 2V8+ crossing at 14:45.5. The Cardinals V4+ finished in 15:34.43.8, 2V4+ stopped the clock at 16:23.3, 3V4+ went 16:46.4 and 4V4+ posted a time of 16:51.1. Louisville's novice N8+ boat turned in a time of 16:55.8.
