
Louisville Women’s Basketball Hosts Media Day

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's basketball program held its media day activities on Tuesday, beginning with 15th-year head coach Jeff Walz speaking with the assembled media.
Following Walz's remarks, the team then moved to the Planet Fitness Kueber Center practice gym floor to pose for a picture. Prior to the open practice, the media had the opportunity to speak with each of the student-athletes.
Last season, Louisville won its fourth consecutive ACC regular season title and finished with a 26-4 record. They entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 2 seed and advanced to the Elite Eight for the sixth time in program history.
The Cardinals were picked sixth in the Associated Press preseason poll and second in the ACC preseason poll, while Hailey Van Lith was named to the All-ACC preseason team.
Louisville hosts an exhibition at the KFC Yum! Center against Union University (Tenn.) on Thursday, Nov. 4. They open the 2021-22 campaign against defending NCAA runner-up Arizona in Sioux Falls, S.D., on Friday, Nov. 12.
