Tang Advances to Louisville Invitational Finals

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Sophomore Kyle Tang led the University of Louisville men's tennis team with a pair of singles wins, advancing to his division finals as the Cardinals completed day two of the Louisville Invitational Saturday at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
In the "C" draw, Tang picked up a 7-5, 6-4 win against Purdue's Andre Suzanne to advance to the semifinals where he defeated the Boilermakers' Michal Wozniak 6-1, 6-1. Tang will face Purdue's Sebastian Welch in the championship match Sunday at 10 a.m.
In Flight A singles action, Josh Howard-Tripp defeated Indiana's Carson Haskins 6-3, 7-6(4) in the quarterfinals, but retired in his semifinal match against Indiana's Michael Andre. Matthew Fung lost his consolation match to Purdue's Athelle Bennett 6-2, 6-0.
In Flight 'B' quarterfinal action, Alex Wesbrooks beat Kentucky's Alexandre LeBlanc 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the semifinals where he fell 6-2, 6-3 to Indiana's Ilya Tirapolsky.
David Mizrahi lost a tough battle against Tomasz Dudek 6-2, 6-7(5), 10-4) in his quarterfinal matchup.
