
No. 1 Louisville Plays at Wake Forest on Sunday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After playing four straight games at home, No. 1 Louisville (13-0, 6-0) hits the road to play at Wake Forest (7-5, 4-4) on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. ET. The game will broadcast on ACC Network and 790-AM WKRD.

On Thursday at the KFC Yum! Center, Louisville won its first game ever as the No. 1 team in the country with a 67-54 victory over Syracuse.

Dana Evans played a season-high 40 minutes and finished with 21 points, seven assists and four rebounds against the Orange. She leads the ACC with nine 20-point games, which are four more than VT's Aisha Sheppards's five, which ranks second. She has 21 career 20-point games and UofL is 21-0 in those games.

The All-American has scored in double figures in every game this season. She leads the ACC with 19.5 points per game and ranks third with 4.6 assists per game. She ranks second in the league with 60 assists. She ranks fifth in the ACC with 30 3-point makes and her 39.5 3-point shooting percentage ranks eighth.

Hailey Van Lith had 18 points on 6-11 3-point shooting, while pulling down a team-high eight rebounds against Syracuse. Her six made 3-pointers are the most by a UofL freshmen since Mariya Moore made six 3-pointers (6-9) in a 69-56 win over Ball State on Nov. 23, 2014.

Her 13.2 points per game rank fourth among ACC freshmen and her 6.4 rebounds rank fifth among freshmen. She has scored in double figures in 11 of 13 games. She is shooting 46.6 percent from the floor and is 24-59 (.407) from beyond the arc. Her 24 made 3's rank second among ACC freshmen.

Louisville held Syracuse to 54 points, which is the Orange's second lowest point total this season. Syracuse entered the game averaging 78.6 points.

Wake Forest welcomes visiting teams, boasting a 3-1 home record inside Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum. Led by the senior duo of Ivana Raca and Gina Conti, the Demon Deacons average 68.6 points per game, which ranks 13th in the conference. The team takes advantage of their opportunities from the free throw line, shooting .761 percent, trailing only Louisville, Boston College, and Florida State. Raca has been a bright spot this season, posting a near double-double average with 16.3 points and 9.8 rebounds per game.
