LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Charley Butler is up next on the University of Louisville softball team series of check-ins.

The Randleman, N.C., native made an immediate impact as a freshman, playing in 46 games with 43 starts in left field before being sidelined by injury. In the shortened-2020 campaign, she played in 20 games with 11 starts in the outfield and was a perfect 4-for-4 in stolen bases.

Fun Fact: Her first career hit was a solo home run in the 7-5 win against Bradley in the Tennessee Classic on Feb. 24, 2019.

I like the campus, I think it's a beautiful campus

What are some of the top moments/favorite memories from your career so far?
My favorite moment from my career is the Florida State series because the entire team was so engaged and it was one of the most fun softball games I had ever been part of!

What do you like to do outside of playing softball?
Be creative, make clothes, paint

Why did you choose UofL?
I fell in love with the campus and athletic facilities. After coming to a camp and meeting the girls I felt like the team was a family I wanted to be part of.

Nothing worth having comes easy.

My niece and grandfather
