Catching Up with Carmyn Greenwood

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Carmyn Greenwood is up next on the University of Louisville softball team series of check-ins.
Greenwood, a redshirt junior outfielder from Birmingham, Ala., was in her first season at Louisville after transferring from Auburn. She joined the Cardinals and became college teammates with her younger sister, Cassady who was a sophomore catcher on the team.

Carmyn Greenwood made an immediate impact, starting 22 games in left field. She was on a six-game hitting streak when the season ended and finished with a .372 batting average – second on the team behind her sister. The elder Greenwood was also tied for the team lead with three doubles and had registered a team-best nine multi-hit games including a pair of three-hit performances against Wichita State and Evansville.

Greenwood is now settling in for the summer in Louisville. "I am very busy this summer since I got a job at The Home Depot. I do plan to go visit my mom and sister in Alabama. I plan to get super in shape and enjoy Kentucky!"
