CardsCARE Teams with JCPS for Tuesday Storytime

In an effort to continue its community outreach via social media, the University of Louisville's CardsCARE program is partnering with Jefferson County Public Schools for Storytime Tuesday which features selected student-athetes reading aloud their favorite children's book every Tuesday in April at 2 p.m. Fans can follow along on Twitter (@GoCards) and on Facebook (www.facebook.com/GoCards/).

"We know UofL student-athletes are outstanding on the field and in the classroom. Now we're seeing how engaging they are as book readers and role models for JCPS' youngest students," said Dr. Marty Pollio, Jefferson County Public Schools Superintendent. "Thanks to our partners at UofL Athletics for making Tuesday Storytime happen."

Keith Oddo (men's basketball) kicked off the series on March 31 by reading Famous Athletes: LeBron James. Check it out here.

April 7: Celene Funke (softball) - Goat on a Boat
April 14: Alli Bitting (field hockey) - Me and My Dog
April 21: Devin Morley (men's golf) - A Mob of Meerkats
April 28: Tori Dilfer (volleyball) - Circus Train and the Clowns

CardsCARE provides the unique opportunity to allow student-athletes to spend their time giving back to the surrounding areas.
