The No. 47-ranked University of Louisville men's tennis team fell 4-0 to Notre Dame in an ACC matchup Friday afternoon at the Eck Tennis Pavilion.

The Irish (6-5, 2-0 ACC) took the doubles point with wins on courts one and two. The 29^th-ranked duo of Tristan McCormick and Axel Nefve gave Notre Dame an early edge when they defeated junior Tin Chen and sophomore Alex Wesbrooks 6-2 at No. 1. Notre Dame's Richard Ciamarra and Matthew Gameble secured the point on court two with a 6-4 win over freshman Matthew Fung and sophomore Fabien Salle.

In singles, the Irish added to their lead when Connor Fu defeated Fung 6-2, 6-1 at No. 5. On court one, Ciamarra, No. 10 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) single rankings, beat No. 76 Chen 6-4, 6-4 extending the lead to 3-0.

Notre Dame clinched the match at the two-spot where Axel Nefve topped sophomore Sergio Hernandez 6-2, 6-3.

The Cardinals (7-4, 2-1 ACC) will return to action Tuesday, March 3 when they host Kennesaw State and Xavier starting at 1 p.m. at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
