Dana Evans Named ACC Player of the Week

Evans averaged a team-high 24.5 points per game in wins at Boston College and North Carolina.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville women's basketball junior guard Dana Evans has been named ACC Player of the Week by both the league and College Sports Madness.
Evans led the fifth-ranked Cardinals to road wins at Boston College and North Carolina, averaging a team-high 24.5 points per game, while shooting 48 percent from the floor during the week. She also was 10-of-17 from 3-point range and a perfect 9-9 from the free throw line.
The Gary, Indiana, native finished with a game-high 27 points in Louisville's 81-70 win at Boston College, which was just one point shy of her career-high. She tied her career high with seven made threes in that contest, shooting 7-10 from deep. Evans led the team with 23 points while adding six assists in the Cards' 74-67 win at North Carolina.
She claims ACC Player of the Week for the second time this season.
After two straight road contests, Louisville returns home to host Virginia on Thursday at 8 p.m. E.T. and Pittsburgh on Sunday at 4 p.m. E.T.
