Fall Softball Slate Announced

Cards will play four doubleheaders, three at Ulmer Stadium
University of Louisville softball coach Holly Aprile has announced the Cardinals' schedule for the fall season. The Cardinals will play a total of eight contests, six on Don Dobina Field at Ulmer Stadium.

Louisville will open the fall season on September 7 with a home doubleheader against Eastern Kentucky. Two weeks later, the Cards will welcome cross-town opponent Bellarmine University for a twin bill. On September 28, UofL will travel to Lexington for a pair of contests at Kentucky before closing the fall season at home against Indiana on Oct. 6.

About Louisville Softball
In 2019, the Cardinals posted a 35-23 overall record and a 12-12 mark in ACC play for a third place finish in the league's Atlantic Division and fifth in the overall conference standings. Louisville several milestones in head coach Holly Aprile's first season at the helm, highlighted by the 14th NCAA appearance and sixth regional final as the Cardinals completed their 20th year as a program.

UofL returns 13 letterwinners and seven starters from last season, including seniors Caitlin Ferguson and Celene Funke. The Cards also welcome seven newcomers to the 2020 squad.
