Game One Against Georgia Tech to Resume Sunday at 10 a.m., Doubleheader to Follow

Cards were leading 10-5 in the top of the fifth when the game was halted due to rain.
The ACC softball series opener between the University of Louisville and Georgia Tech will resume Sunday at 10 a.m., followed by a doubleheader at Don Dobina Field at Ulmer Stadium.

The game began Friday at 2 p.m. and was halted in the top of the fifth inning with the Cardinals leading 10-5.

Prior to the rain delay, the Cardinals (28-15, 8-7 ACC) built an 8-2 lead in the first inning and added a pair of runs in the third. The Yellow Jackets (27-20, 8-7 ACC) added a run in the third and two more in the fourth, bringing the score to 10-5 after four complete innings. In the fifth, Skye Webb singled and Bailee Zeitler was hit by a pitch. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch with Drew Puckett at the plate when the game was halted due to rain.
