
Durr Named to Citizen Naismith Trophy Midseason Top 30

Durr ranks second in program history with 2,228 points and 342 3-pointers.
ATLANTA (February 11, 2019) – Today, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced that senior Asia Durr is one of 30 players in the running for the Citizen Naismith Trophy Women's College Player of the Year honor.
The midseason team includes 30 women's players representing 20 colleges in seven different conferences across the U.S. Overall, eight players on the Women's Watch List represent the ACC, and the Pac-12 is a close runner-up with seven candidates included.

"We've had an amazing season of women's college basketball so far, and the competition will only get tougher from here on out on the road to awarding the 2019 Women's Citizen Naismith Trophy," said Eric Oberman, executive director of the Atlanta Tipoff Club. "As the season continues, we're excited to watch these 30 women play and compete for the top honor."
Durr averages 21.1 points per game, which ranks second in the ACC and 19th in the country. She ranks second in UofL program history with 2,228 points and 342 3-pointers.

On March 4, 2019, the competition will narrow as the midseason team of 30 becomes 10 national semifinalists. The four finalists will be announced on March 22, 2019, and the 2019 Citizen Naismith Trophy for Women's Player of the Year will be announced on April 6, 2019.
