Women's Basketball Excels in the Classroom

The Cardinals achieved a collective 3.19 grade-point average for the 2019 fall semester.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – While the University of Louisville women's basketball team has opened the season with an 11-1 record and moved up to as high as No. 2 in the Associated Press poll, grade point averages from the 2019 UofL fall semester reflect that the Cardinals have excelled in the classroom, as well.
The Cardinals achieved a collective 3.19 grade-point average for the 2019 fall semester. This marks the 11th straight semester that women's basketball has earned better than a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
In addition, 11 student-athletes earned a 3.0 or better GPA, while eight earned Red & Black Scholar Athlete status for a 3.25 or better cumulative GPA.
Lindsey Duvall, Dana Evans, Seygan Robins and Kianna Smith were all named to the Dean's List for Fall 2019, earning above a 3.5 GPA.
Jessica Laemmle graduated in the summer of 2019 and walked at fall commencement.
The Cardinals return to action on Sunday, Dec. 29 when they host Syracuse to open Atlantic Coast Conference play.
