Cards and Hoyas Meet Again With Trip to Elite Eight on the Line

WASHINGTON - The University of Louisville men's soccer team looks to continue its NCAA postseason run when the Cardinals travel to 3rd-seeded and No. 2 ranked Georgetown Sunday, December 1 for a noon kickoff. It is the second time this season the Cards and Hoyas have met, with UofL winning 1-0 in double overtime in Louisville back on September 24.

Opening kicks
• Louisville leads the all-time series 2-1, winning the last two meetings. The Cardinals won the head-to-head meeting earlier this year on Sept. 24 in Louisville 1-0 in double overtime.
• The Cards are 16-10-2 all-time in the NCAA Tournament and 2-4 in road games.
• The Cardinals are 0-1-1 all-time on December 1. In 2017, #4 UofL fell to #5 Akron in in the quarterfinals in a shootout 4-3.
• This is marks the first year Louisville will play multiple road games in the NCAA Tournament.

• Junior forward Emil Elveroth was named to the watch list for the 2019 MAC Hermann Trophy, which honors the United Soccer Coaches Division I National Player of the Year.
