Redshirt junior Carmyn Greenwood recaps Friday's OKC Challenge events
Friday marked day four of Louisville Softball's Oklahoma City Challenge and redshirt junior Carmyn Greenwood took over the team blog to chronicle the events of the day.
Â
"On day four of the OKC Challenge, we had two team events in the Trager Indoor Center. The events happened to be Ultimate Frisbee and Tug of War.Â
Â
Ultimate Frisbee was the event we started with today. We had 10 minute halves with a five-minute halftime. Each team had eight people on the field. The Red Squad had two subs, while the black only had one. The Black Squad started the first half with the ball. They also ended up ahead at the end of the first half 7-1. The Red Squad got the ball starting the second half. It was a hard-fought battle, but the Black Squad ended up winning by a score of 10-3.
Â
The second event was the Tug of War. This event was for the teams to give all the effort they had in strength and momentum. It was the best three-out-of-five. Each match was four against four. The first one was won by the Black Squad with the Red Squad winning the second. The Black Squad ended up finishing out the next two with wins and taking the event.
Â
The Ultimate Frisbee was worth 60 points and the Tug of War was worth 50 points. The Black Squad took all points today by winning both events and will enter the final day around 90 points ahead.Â
Â
With my team being behind at the start of Monday, we are ready to give it our all and show what we've got to win the OKC Challenge!"
