LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's basketball program held its annual media day activities on Wednesday, beginning with 13th-year head coach Jeff Walz speaking with the assembled media.
Following Walz's remarks, the team then moved to the KFC Yum! Center floor to pose for a picture. Prior to the open practice, the media had the opportunity to speak with each of the student-athletes.
Last season, the Cardinals produced a second consecutive 30-win season with a 32-4 record. They entered the NCAA Tournament as a No. 1 seed for the second straight year and advanced to the Elite Eight for the fifth time in program history.
In preseason polls, Louisville was picked seventh in the espnW poll and ninth by the Associated Press.
Louisville opens its season on Tuesday, Nov. 5 against Western Kentucky at the KFC Yum! Center and will play its first five games at home.
