LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville athletics department is inviting all freshmen to attend a 'Night Under the Lights' on Friday at Dr. Mark and Cindy Lynn Soccer Stadium.
The free event, which includes the showing of the newly released Avengers: Infinity War, is part of 'UofL Welcome Week.' Students in attendance will receive a free UofL football blackout T-shirt and be entered to win complimentary football season tickets.
Doors open at 8:30 p.m.
Starting at 9 p.m., well-known public address announcer Sean Moth will lead the pep rally in which students will learn the fight song and student section chants and gather for the official Class of 2022 picture. Louie and members of The Ville'ns will be in attendance as well.
Louisville athletics partnered with Transit Authority of River City to provide transportation for students, with the shuttles picking up at the Student Recreation Center and dropping off passengers at the soccer stadium.
Note: Should inclement weather be in the area, athletics officials will make a decision at 5 p.m. to relocate the event to Floyd Theatre and only the movie will be shown. Students are encouraged to follow @GoCards on Twitter for updates.
