
Shah, Hartlage Excel at WSGA Amateur Championship

Delaney Shah finished as a championship semifinalist, and Lauren Hartlage was the consolation winner.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Delaney Shah and Lauren Hartlage helped lead the University of Louisville women's golf team to the NCAA Championships for the second time in school history, and the duo continued to excel in their first summer tournament.
Shah shot a 6-over-par 77 on Monday at the Women's Southern Golf Association Amateur Championship before putting together a remarkable streak in match play. The rising junior won three-consecutive championship bracket matches and finished the tournament in Tuscaloosa, Ala., as a championship semifinalist.
Hartlage took second overall in stroke play in the field of 42, carding a 2-under-par 69 at NorthRiver Yacht Club. After dropping her first match in the championship bracket, the rising junior won all four matches in the consolation bracket, including the consolation final 2-up for the trophy.
Jordan Susce, who completed her first season at UofL, totaled a two-round score in stroke play of 13-over-par 154.
