
Women’s Basketball to Host Nebraska in 2018 ACC/Big Ten Challenge

The Cardinals are 3-1 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – It was announced today by the Atlantic Coast Conference that Louisville women's basketball will host Nebraska on Thursday, Nov. 29 in the 2018 ACC/Big Ten Women's Basketball Challenge.
This year's Challenge marks the 12th straight year of the event that pits the two perennially strong conferences against each other.
It will mark the fourth ever meeting between the Cardinals and the Cornhuskers and the first since 2010 when Louisville won 65-51 in Las Vegas, Nev.
Last season, Louisville won 72-59 at Indiana in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The Cards went 3-0 against Big Ten teams a year ago after beating No. 5 Ohio State, 95-90 and No. 24 Michigan, 74-49.
The win over Indiana also helped the ACC to a 10-4 victory over the Big Ten in the 2017 ACC/Big Ten Challenge. The ACC is 8-0-3 with an 81-55 overall record in the challenge.
Louisville is 3-1 all-time in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge (2017 – Louisville 72, Indiana 59 - at IU; 2016 - Maryland 78, Louisville 72 - at UL; 2015 - Louisville 85, Michigan State 78 - at MSU; 2014 - Louisville 86, Iowa 52 - at UL).
The Cardinals produced a program-best 36-3 record in 2017-18 as they reached their third Final Four. Louisville opened last season with a 20-0 record, which marked the best start and longest winning streak in program history.
Nebraska posted a 21-11 mark last season, including an 11-5 record in league play, and reached the NCAA Tournament.
Louisville leads the all-time series against Nebraska, 2-1.
