The University of Louisville softball team has earned the No. 8 seed in the 2018 ACC Softball Championship and will open the tournament against ninth-seeded Syracuse Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Georgia Tech's Shirley C. Mewborn Field.

The winner of Thursday's game will move on to face top-seeded Florida State Thursday at 11 a.m. in the quarterfinals.
Â
The 2018 ACC Softball Championship will continue with Friday's semifinals at 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., and will conclude with Saturday's championship game at noon.
Â
The first three rounds will be broadcast on the league's Regional Sports Networks, and ESPN will carry the championship game.
