Cardinals finish in fifth place with 66 points
CLEMSON, S.C. – Powered by the bronze medal-winning performance of the varsity eight crew, the University of Louisville women's rowing team placed fifth at the 19th Annual Atlantic Coast Conference Rowing Championship Sunday evening on Lake Hartwell at Clemson University.
In the overall competition, the Cardinals tallied 66 points, the second-most in their ACC history, and finished in fifth place for the third-consecutive season. For the fourth-straight season, all five crews advanced to their respective grand finals. With 99 points, Virginia earned its 18th conference title and an automatic bid into the upcoming NCAA Championship. Syracuse took second with 77 points, followed by Duke in third with 72 and Notre Dame in fourth with 69.
