Spirit Groups Dominate NCA & NDA Collegiate Championships

Cards come home with four national championships
The University of Louisville spirit groups came home with four national titles from the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance National Championship held at the Bandshell in Daytona Beach, Florida last weekend.
The Large Coed squad won their 18th NCA title in Divison IA. after finishing in third place in 2017. Their past wins are 1985, 1986, 1989, 1992, 1994, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2008, 2011, 2016 and now 2018.
The LadyBirds defended their Team Championships from 2017 with a win, earning a score of 9.538.
The Ladybird defended their Division 1A Hip Hop Championship from 2017 winning the 2018 crown and complete the sweep for the double-title. The Birds beat out BYU by .055 for the National Championship. In addition, Louisville was awarded the 2018 Innovative Choreography Award.
The University of Louisville All Girl's championship dynasty continues at NCA College with five straight Div. lA titles. This year was the 20th anniversary of Louisville All Girl competing in Daytona, and the Cards dominated on Day 2 with a final score of 96.43, a full 4.28 points higher than the runner up in a dominating performance. They are coached by Misty Hodges and Calen Cook.
The Small Coed squad finished fourth in the nation.
