
No. 4 Women's Basketball Faces Syracuse in New York on Sunday

The Cardinals and Orange will tip off at 1 p.m. ET.
The Cardinals are on a 12-game road winning streak dating back to last season. Their last road loss was an 85-66 setback at Notre Dame on Feb. 6, 2017. The longest road winning streak in program history is 13 games from Dec. 18, 2015 to Dec. 21, 2016. They have won their first 10 road games this season, which matches the longest streak in a single season, which took place in 2015-16.
In Thursday's win at Virginia, Louisville led by four at half before outscoring the Cavaliers 46-14 in the second half. They held Virginia to six points in the third quarter and eight in the fourth. UVA was 6-of-21 (.286) in the second half. The 14 points allowed in the second half marked the second fewest allowed this year, trailing only the 12 they allowed vs. Michigan.
Twenty-four times this season, including the third and fourth quarters at Virginia, UofL has held opponents to single digit scoring quarters. The Cards had 25 single-digit defensive quarters in 2015-16 and 22 in 2016-17.
Dana Evans leads all ACC freshmen, ranks 11th in the league and second on the team with 4.0 assists per game. She ranks fourth in the ACC with a 1.9 assist-to-turnover ratio. She has led the Cards in assists 13 times this season. Her 1.5 steals lead all ACC freshmen. She is averaging 6.3 points per game on the season.
ABOUT THE ORANGE
Syracuse is coming off a loss at home to Virginia Tech, 73-64, but have won three of their last four. The loss to the Hokies marked their first loss at the Carrier Dome this season as they are 11-1 at home.
The Orange are one of the most prolific 3-pt shooting teams in the country as they rank third with 722 attempts, seventh with 217 makes and 12th with 9.4 makes per game.
Sophomore Tiana Mangakahia leads the country with 10.2 assists per game and ranks seventh in the league with 17.5 points per game. She also leads the league with an 86.9 free throw percentage, ranks fourth with 2.4 steals and sixth with a 1.8 assist-to-turnover ratio. She is tied with Myisha Hines-Allen for the league lead with 11 double-doubles.
Junior Miranda Drummond ranks 12th in the league with 15.5 points, fifth with 58 3-pointers made and her 38.2 3-pt percentage ranks 12th. Sophomore Gabrielle Cooper averages 10.5 points and also ranks fifth with 58 made threes. Freshman Digna Strautmane averages 9.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.1 blocks, which ranks second in the ACC.

The Cards have won four of the last six against Syracuse, including the last game at the Carrier Dome, a 71-53 win on Jan. 25, 2016. Louisville's last loss to Syracuse came on March 5, 2016 in the ACC Tourney, 80-75.
