
Men's Tennis Hosts Two Doubleheaders This Weekend

Cards host Duquesne and Arkansas Pine Bluff Friday; Virginia Tech and Xavier Sunday
The University of Louisville men's tennis team will conclude a 12-match home stand with a pair of doubleheaders this weekend. The Cards will host Duquesne and Arkansas-Pine Bluff Friday at 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. respectively at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Following Friday's matches, the Cardinals (13-4, 3-2 ACC) will return to action Sunday against ACC foe Virginia Tech at 12 p.m. and Xavier at 6 p.m. Admission is free.
"This weekend will be challenging in every way," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "Not only do we play our ACC rival, Virginia Tech, who is a program we have had the most 4-3 matches with, we play three other quality programs. We will need all 11 players on our roster to be successful this weekend."

• The Cards are No. 35 in the most recent ITA team rankings.
• The duo of senior Sean Donohue and freshman Parker Wynn stands at No. 22 in the most recent ITA doubles rankings. The pair has compiled an 18-1 overall record including a 12-1 tally at No. 1.
• Wynn leads the Cardinals with a 29-9 overall singles record and is 13-3 in dual matches playing mostly at Nos. 2 and 3. He has won eight of his last nine matches.
• Sophomore Christopher Morin-Kougoucheff holds down the No. 1 spot in singles and had tallied an 18-10 overall record while going 7-5 in dual matches.
• Sophomore Brandon Lancaster is 23-9 in singles and carries a 12-4 mark in dual matches playing mostly at No. 5.
• Donohue leads the Cards in doubles with a 25-4 overall record.
• Louisville is 12-2 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center with its only losses of the season coming at the hands of No. 1 Virginia and No. 29 Florida State.
• Head coach Rex Ecarma is in his 27th season at UofL and has compiled a 435-287 overall record.

Scouting the Dukes: Duquesne enters the match with a 6-10 overall record. The Dukes recently dropped two straight matches against conference rival George Mason 5-2 and James Madison 4-3.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff
Series Record: This is the first meeting between the two teams.
Scouting the Golden Lions: Arkansas-Pine Bluff enters the match with an overall 3-18 record. The Golden Lions are coming off a 6-1 win over Ozark Christian College in Pine Bluff, Ark.
Virginia Tech
Series Record: Louisville leads 11-10
Last Meeting: March 20, 2016 – Virginia Tech won 6-1 in Blacksburg, Va.
Scouting the Hokies: Virginia Tech brings an overall 7-9 and a 2-4 tally against ACC teams prior to their match Friday against Clemson. The Hokies are coming off a 1-1 weekend where they fell to Notre Dame 4-3 and defeated Boston College 6-1.
Xavier
Series Record: Louisville leads 18-0
Last Meeting: March 27, 2013 – Louisville won 7-0 in Louisville, Ky.
Scouting the Musketeers: Xavier enters Sunday's match with a 5-9 overall record prior to their match with IUPUI Friday.
