
No. 4 Women's Basketball Returns Home to Host UT Martin on Tuesday

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Following road wins over Indiana and South Dakota State, No. 4 Women's Basketball returns home to face UT Martin on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. ET.
Louisville remains at No. 4 in the Associated Press poll for the third straight week.
With two wins last week, the Cardinals move to 8-0, which ties the second best start in program history. They have opened five of the past six seasons with at least a 7-0 start, also starting 8-0 in 2012-13 and 2014-15.
With each win, they get closer to matching their best start ever. In 2006-07, the Cards opened the year with wins in each of their first 15 games.
On Sunday, Louisville pulled out a dramatic 68-64 win in front of an exuberant crowd at South Dakota State to remain unbeaten.
The Cards trailed by a season-high 12 points at the end of the first quarter, but junior Asia Durr scored 18 of her 20 points in the second half to lead the rally. She finished the game 7-of-20 from the floor and 3-of-7 from 3-point range, while dishing out five assists, which tied a career-high.
It marked her 25th game with 20-plus points in a Louisville uniform and she extended her streak with at least one 3-pointer to a school-record 47 games.
Redshirt junior Arica Carter played a team-high 35 minutes in the win over South Dakota State and finished with a season-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting.
She is averaging a team-best 28.4 minutes per game and her 160 career assists lead the team.

UT Martin is off to a 3-4 start this season. After recording back-to-back home victories over Western Carolina (62-54) and North Carolina A&T (76-63), they fell in overtime at Chattanooga on Saturday, 87-82.
UT Martin boasts a balanced offense, which features four players in double figures. Sophomore guard Kendall Spray leads all scorers and ranks in top 10 in the OVC with 17.1 points per game. Junior guard Emanye Robertson and freshman Chelsey Perry rank second with 11.3 points per game, while senior forward Janekia Mason (10.0 ppg) rounds out the quartet in double figures.
The Skyhawks defense ranks 35th in the nation, forcing 21.4 turnovers per game.
