Myisha Hines-Allen Rated No. 24 in ESPNW Top 25 Players List
November 07, 2017 | Women's Basketball
The Montclair, N.J., native ranks ninth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,482 points.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – ESPNW is listing the top 25 players in the country this week and coming in at No. 24 is University of Louisville senior forward Myisha Hines-Allen.
"Almost since her arrival in Louisville, Hines-Allen has established herself as one of the best multidimensional, offensive power forwards in the game. As good as her post-up game is with an uncanny ability to push around her defender, she might be even more dangerous now facing the basket from 15 feet and in, as her jump shot has improved. Her 17 double-doubles ranked 12th in the country." -- Charlie Creme via ESPNW.
Hines-Allen, who was named ACC Player of the Year following her sophomore season and was named preseason All-ACC prior to the start of this season, produced 13.9 points on 49 percent shooting and 9.3 rebounds per game a year ago.
Her 17 double-doubles set the school's single-season record, set twice by Angel McCoughtry. Her 336 rebounds in 2016-17 are third most in a season in program history.
The Montclair, N.J., native ranks ninth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,482 points and sixth on the school's career list in field goals (634) and rebounds (778).
In addition, ESPNW picked Louisville 10th in their preseason poll and the Cards are a No. 3 seed in the preseason Bracketology release.
Louisville opens its 2017-18 campaign on Nov. 10 at home against Southeast Missouri in the first round of the 2017 Preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament.
It will mark the annual Hoops for Troops game and active and former military members can purchase tickets for just $3 when using the promo code SERVICE. In addition, patriotic UofL t-shirts will be given away to the first 1,000 fans. Click here to purchase your tickets now.
