
No. 4 Women's Basketball Travels to Indiana for ACC/Big Ten Challenge

The Cardinals are off to a 6-0 start, which marks the fifth time in the last six years that they have started the season with wins in their first six games. They started the season 7-0 in 2013-14 and 2016-17 and 8-0 in 2012-13 and 2014-15. Their best ever start is 15-0 in 2006-07.
The Cards scored a program-record 115 points in the 115-51 win over Murray State last Friday. The previous high was 109 points vs. Appalachian State on Feb. 23, 1991 and vs. Coastal Carolina on Dec. 18, 1996. Their previous high in the Coach Walz era was 108 vs. Austin Peay on Dec. 14, 2013.
Their 47 field goals (47-85) also set a program record, the previous high was 43, which happened three times, most recently vs. Ball State on Dec. 17, 2013. They also had 43 field goals when they scored 108 points vs. AP on Dec. 14, 2013. Their 64-point margin of victory ranks sixth all-time in program history.
Louisville's bench outscored Murray State's bench, 76-8, and five players scored in double figures, none of which were named Asia Durr or Myisha Hines-Allen.Â
Sophomore Kylee Shook finished with a career-high 21 points on 8-of-10 shooting, 3-of-4 from deep, while sophomore Bionca Dunham set career highs with 19 points and 16 rebounds, pulling down her first career double-double. Sophomore Sydney Zambrotta had a career-high 16 points, freshman Dana Evans had a career-high 14 points and seven assists, and junior Sam Fuehring had 12 points.Â
With 88.0 points per game, Louisville ranks 14th in the country.Â
UofLÂ remains at No. 4 in the AP. They have not been higher than No. 4 since they were ranked No. 3 on March 10, 2014. No. 3 is the highest Louisville has ever been in the AP poll.
The Cardinals are 3-6 all-time against Indiana and seek their first ever win in Bloomington (0-5).
Louisville is 2-1 all-time in the ACC/B1G Challenge - 2016 - Maryland 78, Louisville 72 (at UL); 2015 - Louisville 85, Michigan State 78 (at MSU); 2014 - Louisville 86, Iowa 52 (at UL).
Last season, Indiana finished the season with a 23-11 overall record, 10-6 in Big Ten play, and advanced to the quarterfinals of the postseason WNIT, falling to Villanova, 69-57.
They have started this season with a 4-2 record. Last week, they split their two games in the Hilton Concord Classic in Morago, Cal., beating UAB, 71-63, before falling to St. Mary's, 88-82.
Senior Tyra Buss ranks seventh all-time in scoring and is 180 points away from tying the school record. She ranks second all-time in assists and is 93 dishes away from that school record. She is also on pace to break records in steals, free throws made and free throws attempted. In six games, she is averaging 22.7 points, 6.7 assists and 2.5 steals.
Senior forward Amanda Cahill has five double-doubles in her first six games, 34 for her career, which ranks fourth all-time.
