Hines-Allen was named MVP of the preseason WNIT on Sunday.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - After being named most valuable player of the 2017 preseason WNIT, Louisville women's basketball senior forward Myisha Hines-Allen has been named ACC Player of the Week.
It marks the sixth time that Hines-Allen has been named ACC Player of the Week and the second consecutive week that a Louisville player has earned the distinction. Last week, coming off of her school-record 47 point-performance, Asia Durr was named ACC Player of the Week.
Hines-Allen was named MVP of the preseason WNIT after recording 17 points and 12 rebounds in the championship game against No. 10 Oregon. She finished the week with two double-doubles, also recording one in the win over Toledo (17 points, 10 rebounds). She now has 32 double-doubles for her career, one shy of tying Jazz Covington for second on Louisville's all-time list.
She averaged 17.7 points and 10.0 rebounds, while shooting 61 percent from the floor, in wins over Toledo, No. 24 Michigan and No. 10 Oregon.
With 1,555 points, she ranks ninth all-time in program history and is just 22 points away from moving into eighth place.
After playing five games in 10 days to open the season, Louisville returns to action on Friday, Nov. 24 at 1 p.m. ET when they host Murray State.
