October 30, 2017 | Women's Basketball
Head coach Jeff Walz addressed the media to open the day.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's basketball program held its annual media day activities on Monday, beginning with 11th-year head coach Jeff Walz speaking with the assembled media.
Following Walz's remarks on all-ACC performers senior Myisha Hines-Allen and junior Asia Durr, players that have shown the most improvement, the newcomers, and the challenging schedule, the media had the opportunity to speak with each of the student-athletes.
The Cardinals went 29-8 a season ago and are coming off their seventh NCAA Sweet 16 appearance in school history, all under the guidance of Walz.
Last week, the Cards were picked 10th in the 2017-18 USA Today Preseason Top 25 Coaches' poll.
Louisville opens its 2017-18 campaign on Nov. 10 at home against Southeast Missouri in the first round of the 2017 Preseason Women's National Invitational Tournament.
