
Former Women's Basketball Player Asia Taylor Signed by WNBA's Connecticut Sun

Asia Taylor was taken in the third round of the 2014 WNBA Draft.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Former University of Louisville women's basketball standout Asia Taylor is making a return to the WNBA after signing with the Connecticut Sun, the organization announced Thursday.
Taylor, who was a third-round pick in the 2014 WNBA Draft, was expected to travel to Australia to resume continue international career and instead joined Sun on Sept. 1. The forward played 22 games for the Minnesota Lynx in 2014 and appeared in two preseason games for the Indiana Fever earlier this year.
Connecticut has seven games remaining in the regular season, beginning Friday at home against Phoenix.
The Columbus, Ohio, native played for the Cardinals from 2009-14, when she was part of the 2014 NCAA Elite Eight team and the 2011 squad that reached the NCAA Sweet 16. She averaged 6.4 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 0.8 steals per game in 132 contests. In her senior campaign, she contributed 10.8 points and a team-high 7.2 rebounds and was named an all-American Athletic Conference first team selection and captured the league's most improved player award.
