
Hensley Earns NFCA All-Southeast Region Honors

Freshman Megan Hensley named to NFCA All-Southeast Region second team
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville's Megan Hensley was selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Southeast Region Second team as announced on Thursday, May 19.

The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second team and selections. NFCA member coaches from each respective region voted on the teams, and all the honorees now become eligible for selection to the 2016 NFCA Division I All-American squads.

Hensley, a freshman from Ashland, Ky., is in the midst of a banner rookie season. The All-ACC second team selection leads Louisville with 13 home runs and stands second on the team with 52 RBIs which ranks sixth on Louisville's single season list. She owns the school record for most home runs and RBIs as a freshman.

The pitcher/utility player carries a 15-5 record in the circle with a 2.30 ERA. She has registered three shutouts and 78Ks in 128.0 innings of work. She is a two-time ACC Pitcher of the Week and was a top 25 Finalist for NFCA Freshman of the Year.
