Maryssa Becker and Sidney Melton earn ACC All-Tournament honors

The University of Louisville's Maryssa Becker and Sidney Melton were selected to the 2016 ACC Championship All-Tournament team.

Becker, a junior pitcher/designated player from Medford, Ore. , registered a 0.84 ERA with five strikeouts in 8.1 innings while holding opponents to a .188 batting average. She also registered a home run on the weekend. Melton, a sophomore shortstop from Columbus, Ohio posted a .667 batting average (4 for 6) with two hits in each of the Cardinals' games.

Louisville (35-15) advanced to the semifinals of the 2016 ACC Championship after earning the No. 2 seed with a 15-8 record against conference opponents. Louisville picked up a 1-0 win over seventh-seeded Syracuse and fell 4-2 to third-seeded No. 20/23 Notre Dame.
