Cards win 6-1 in Richmond.

The University of Louisville women's tennis team beat Eastern Kentucky 6-1, in the first-ever match at the newly-constructed Tom Higgins' Tennis Courts in Richmond, Ky.

The Cards dropped the No. 1 doubles set but Oliva Boesing and Sena Suswam rolled at No.3 with a 6-0 win over Viktorija Demcenkova and Margaux Lacroix. Jessie Paul and Elle Stokes beat Marina Marti and Corentine Bodin 6-3 at No. 2 to clinch the point.

Olivia Boesing beat Raquel Montalvo 6-1, 6-1 at No. 6 for the first singles point. Abbie Pahz cruised to a 6-2, 6-1 win over EKU's Marina Marti at No. 5. Ariana Rodriguez clinched the match with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Viktorija Demcenkova 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2. Elle Stokes battled Colonel Margaux Lecroix to a 7-6 win in the first set and then rolled 6-2 in the second for the win. Jessie Paul defeated Corentine Bodin 6-2, 5-7, 1-0 at No.3.

At No. 1, EKU's Laura Argente lost the first set, 2-6, but rallied for 7-5, 1-0 win over Sena Suswam to pick up the Colonels' point .
