Hines-Allen Earns ACC, College Sports Madness Weekly Honors

Myisha Hines-Allen had a pair of double-doubles last week and helped the Cardinals to three wins.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – University of Louisville women's basketball's Myisha Hines-Allen averaged nearly a double-double last week and earned a pair of weekly honors on Monday afternoon.
The sophomore, who was named ACC Player of the Week and College Sports Madness ACC Player of the Week, helped guide the No. 10-ranked Cardinals (22-6, 13-1 ACC) to three-consecutive wins, including one over No. 19 USF.
In three games, Hines-Allen averaged 21.7 points on 61.4 percent to go with 9.3 rebounds and 1.7 blocks. She had a pair of double-doubles in the first two games and nearly eclipsed a third on Sunday.
The Montclair, N.J., native started the week against USF with 25 points on 10-of-14 shooting and 10 rebounds, swatting a career-tying best three blocks. She had 15 of Louisville's 36 points in the second half on 5-of-6 shooting, helping the Cardinals earn their fourth win over a top-25 program.
In the next game against Virginia, Hines-Allen recorded her second-consecutive double-double with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Again, the sophomore had a stellar second half, totaling 19 of Louisville's 37 points. She finished the game shooting 9-of-15 from the floor, hitting 4-of-5 free throws.
At that point, she recorded her eighth double-double of the year, fourth in league play.
Hines-Allen concluded the week at Boston College with 18 points on 8-of-15 shooting and seven rebounds, with two steals and two assists. She had 14 points in the second half, scoring the Cardinals' first six points in the third quarter.
She currently ranks fourth in the ACC in scoring (16.8) and rebounding (7.9), seventh in field goal percentage (53.7), 14th in free throw percentage (74.7), fifth in defensive rebounds (5.0), and eighth in offensive rebounds (2.9).
Louisville has two regular-season games left, playing at No. 17 Miami (Fla.) on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Cardinals then face Pittsburgh on 'Star Wars Day' on Sunday at 12:30 p.m.
