
Women's Basketball’s Durr Named ACC Player of the Week

Asia Durr averaged 23.0 points in three games last week, shooting 52.0 percent.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Louisville women's basketball sophomore Asia Durr was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week on Monday.
The Douglasville, Ga., native was selected by the Blue Ribbon Panel – comprised of the league's media and sports information directors – after averaging 23.0 points and leading the No. 4 Cardinals (5-0) to three-consecutive victories. It is the third league honor of her career, after being named the conference's rookie of the week twice last year.
Durr, who opened the week with 22 points at Middle Tennessee, followed the performance with a career-high 34 points on 12-of-18 shooting versus Bowling Green. Her point total is tied for the 10th most in a Division I game this season. She knocked down eight 3-pointers, tied for second most in a game in school history and tied for third-most nationally at the Division I ranks.
She capped the week with 13 points and two steals against Lafayette.
Through five games, Durr ranks first nationally in field goals made (41) and 3-point field goals made (24), second in points (111), and 25th in points per game (22.2).
