
Men's Tennis Hosts Louisville Fall Invitational

Cards will play at home Saturday and Sunday
The University of Louisville men's tennis team is set to host the 2016 Louisville Fall Invitational this weekend at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center. Admission is free.

The tournament field consists of 11 teams in addition to the host Cardinals who will be represented by sophomore Brandon Lancaster, junior Ciro Lampasas, sophomore Michael Quang and junior Santiago Salazar. The other participating teams include: Austin Peay, Bellarmine, Campbellsville, Dayton, Illinois State, Lipscomb, Louisville, Memphis, Michigan, Tennessee Tech, Wright State and Xavier.

The tournament format features four flights of singles and doubles and will be played on the indoor and outdoor courts with doubles play starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday.Â

"I am excited to be hosting the 19th Annual Louisville Invitational," said UofL head coach Rex Ecarma. "We have a lot of competitive tennis programs playing this weekend. This will be the only home competition for us this semester and a good chance for tennis fans to see Santiago Salazar, Brandon Lancaster, Michael Quang and newcomer Ciro Lampasas. The matches will be going on all day Saturday and Sunday, so the fans will see players from all the teams competing simultaneously."
