Women’s Basketball’s Tip-Off Luncheon Set for Nov. 2

The event is taking place at the Louisville Marriott Downtown, with doors opening at 11:30 a.m.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Louisville women's basketball is holding its annual tipoff luncheon on Nov. 2 in the Louisville Marriott Downtown.
Tickets for the event are on sale and can be purchased through My Cardinal Account. Tickets - $30 each, or tables for 10 are $300 - will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Doors open at 11:30 a.m., and the event begins at noon.
Louisville, after a home exhibition in the KFC Yum! Center on Nov. 6 against Lindsey Wilson, starts its 2016-17 campaign on Nov. 11 at UT Martin. The Cardinals officially open at home, when they welcome NCAA Tournament participant Belmont on Nov. 13.
Under the direction of 10th-year head coach Jeff Walz, Louisville returns eight letterwinners – including five starters – from last year's team that went 26-8. Reigning ACC Player of the Year Myisha Hines-Allen headlines a group that rolled to a 15-1 mark in ACC play, the best conference winning percentage in program history. In addition to 2015-16 all-conference selections Mariya Moore and Asia Durr, the Cardinals welcome ESPN's No. 6-ranked recruiting class.
