Jones Signs with Chicago Bandits

ROSEMONT, Ill. - The University of Louisville's Kelsi Jones has wrapped up her collegiate career, but she will continue to play softball as a member of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league's Chicago Bandits as announced by team general manager Aaron M. Moore Thursday.
Upon the completion of Louisville's 2015 season, Jones attended open tryouts at The Ballpark at Rosemont and was one of two players - along with Idaho State's Vicky Galasso - added to the roster.
Jones, an outfielder from Carmel, Ind., led the Cardinals in batting average (.364), runs (37), hits (52), doubles (17), slugging percentage (.601) and stolen bases (12) her senior season. While at Louisville, she helped lead the team to two NCAA regional appearances and earned all-ACC first team honors in 2015.

Since 2005, the Chicago Bandits have been members of the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) league. Located in Rosemont, the Bandits provide an opportunity for female fastpitch players to further their careers at a professional level, and the roster has included such names as Jennie Finch, Stacy May-Johnson, Monica Abbott and Tammy Williams. The two-time NPF Champions, who are owned by Bill Sokolis, play at The Ballpark at Rosemont, the only stadium in the country built for a women's professional team. The 2015 season will be the Bandits' 11th season in the NPF.
