The University of Louisville women's tennis team fell 5-2 to Boston College Sunday afternoon in Boston.
The Cardinals won a doubles match when Chloe Willetts and Olivia Boesing paired to beat Asiya Dair and Jennifer Ren 8-4 at the No. 2 spot. But the Cardinals couldn't ride that momentum to the doubles point as the No. 3 pair Manuela Velasquez and Cassie Pough lost in a tiebreaker 8-7 to Emily Safron and Katya Vasilyev.
In singles, Louisvile won at No. 1 when Elle Stokes took down Jessica Wacnik 4-6, 6-2, 6-3. Chloe Willetts dropped her first set but came back to win 4-6, 6-2, 1-0 over Heini Salonen for the Cardinals' other point.
