Cardinals Close Oak Ridge Invite with One Sunday Win

OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - The 18th-ranked Louisville rowing team closed the two-day Oak Ridge Cardinal Invitational with a win by the third varsity four crew on Sunday at Melton Hill Lake.
The Cardinals' B boat finished with a time of 6:54.454 and was followed by Louisville's A boat at 6:58.338 and a pair of Alabama boats at 7:04.608 and 7:12.940. The Cardinals closed the weekend with five wins overall.
Louisville also competed well in five races against No. 2 Virginia and Oklahoma earning runner-up finishes in four of those. The Cardinals trailed the Cavaliers in all five races but were ahead of the Sooners each time out.
