Divers Wrap Up Competition at Diving Invitational

Three days of competition in three events
The University of Louisville diving squads wrapped up competition at the Louisville Diving Open this past weekend at Ralph Wright Natatorium.
Sean Piner led the men with a first place finish in the platform diving event with a score of 330.30 while freshman Daniel Fecteau took second place with 299.00 points. Piner placed fifth in both the 1-meter and 3-meter springboard events by compiling 370.95 points on the 1-meter and 380.75 points on the 3-meter. Daniel Fecteau finished sixth with 293.20 points in the 3-meter springboard event and finished ninth with 279.25 total points on the 1-meter springboard.

For the women, Andrea Acquista led the Cardinals with a third place finish in the platform diving event with 260.90 total points while teammate Mady Ingmire took fourth with 224.25 points. Over on the 1-meter springboard, Acquista placed fifth with a score of 236.90 while Ingmire placed sixth with 232.70 points. In the 3-meter springboard event, Acquista took fifth with 269.90 points while Ingmire took eighth with a score of 235.45.
The Cardinals will return to competition in the New Year as they take on Florida State in ACC action from Jan. 8-9 in Tallahassee, Florida.Â
