Molly Fears Named ACC Diver of the Week

Fears made strong showing at Wolfpack/GAC Invitational
The University of Louisville's Molly Fears has been named the ACC Diver of the Week.

Fears recorded top-three finishes in all three diving events at the NC State/GAC Invitational. The senior from Plainfield, Indiana, won the 1-meter competition with an NCAA Zone cut score of 281.55. She placed second in the 3-meter event, scoring a 327.40 which was also a zone cut, and she finished third on platform with a score of 234.05 for her third zone cut.
The Cardinals won the diving invitational as a team as well. The men (136) beat Duke (107.00), Wisconsin (96.0), Auburn (79.0), NC State (34.0) and George Washington (11.0)
The women (157) were first followed by Duke (111.0), Auburn (94.0), Wisconsin (54) and NC State (49.0)Â Â
