Elisa Garcia and Nicole Woods named to All-ACC second team
University of Louisville field hockey players Elisa Garcia and Nicole Woods have been named to the All-ACC second team as decided in a vote by the league's head coaches.

Garcia, a midfielder from Santiago, Chile was a 2015 preseason All-ACC selection. She leads the Cardinals in assists with eight and stands second on the team with 16 points.

The team co-captain is currently ranked third in career assists and seventh in career points. She is also fourth in single season assists. She is a two-time All-West Region selection and also earned All-BIG EAST honors as a sophomore. Garcia was selected to play in the 2015 NFCHA Division I Senior All-Star game.

Woods a forward/midfielder from Beverly, Mass., leads Louisville with nine goals and 22 points. The 2015 preseason All-ACC selection has started every game this season and has scored in each of Louisville's last three games.

Ninth-ranked Louisville (13-5) earned the No. 6 seed in the ACC Championship and will face the No. 3 seed, third-ranked North Carolina in the quarterfinals Thursday at 4 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN3 and locally on Fox Sports South.
