Freshman goalkeeper Ayeisha McFerran leads the league in shutouts
The University of Louisville's Ayeisha McFerran was named ACC Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the league office on November 3.

The freshman goalkeeper from Larne, Northern Ireland, registered a 0.57 goals against average and an .833 save percentage to help the Cardinals to a 2-0 record on the weekend. She posted four saves in Louisville's 1-0 win over Rutgers en route to her ninth shutout– tying the school record for goalkeeper shutouts in a season.

McFerran (13-5) leads the ACC in shutouts and stands second in the conference – and sixth in the nation - with a 1.09 goals against average on the season.

Ninth-ranked Louisville (13-5) earned the No. 6 seed in the ACC Championship and will face the No. 3 seed,  third-ranked North  Carolina in the quarterfinals Thursday at 4 p.m. The game will be shown on ESPN3 and locally on Fox Sports South.
