The University of Louisville women's tennis team will play in its second invitational of the fall season when it competes this weekend at the Notre Dame Invitational at Courtney Tennis Center.
The Invitational field will include the host, Notre Dame, along with Louisville, Illinois, Purdue, Tulane, and Akron. Each player will compete in three singles matches and two doubles contests throughout the weekend.
Friday and Saturday's matches start at 10 a.m. (ET) and Sunday's first match will start at 9 a.m. Invitational results will be added to Notre Dame's website at UND.com at the end of each day for Louisville fans who want to follow the action.
Louisville started its season strong earlier this month at the Miami Invitational in Oxford, Ohio with winning 10 matches in one day; five doubles wins and five singles wins. UofL Head Coach Mark Beckham called Cassie Pough MVP of that day, as she won against Sydney Liggins of Xavier and competed with Caroline Walter for a doubles win over Eastern Kentucky. Manuela Velasquez and Ariana Rodriguez teamed up to win matches over EKU and Miami.
