
Swim Signee Wins Silver at Nanjing Youth Olympics

University of Louisville swim signee Carlos Claverie won silver in the 200-meter breaststroke with a 2:11.74 at the Nanjing Youth Olympics in China.
Claverie, a member of the Venezuelan National Team, is an accomplished breaststroker and won the bronze in Nanjing in the 100-breast. He already owns the Venezuelan national record in the 200-meter breast. Claverie represented his home country at the 2011 Pan-American Games, the 2013 World Championships, and the 2013 Junior World Championships where he was a finalist in the 100-breaststroke.
