LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Late last week, assistant director of sports performance Jason Dierking was presented with the Master Strength & Conditioning Coach distinction at the annual Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association Conference in Salt Lake City.
It is the highest honor that can be achieved as by a strength and conditioning coach, representing professionalism, knowledge, experience, expertise, as well as longevity in the field. To be eligible, an individual must spend at least 12 years as a full-time, collegiate and/or professional strength and conditioning coach.
Currently, there are only a total of 135 individuals with this level of certification and corresponding title of distinction.
Dierking, currently in his ninth year with Louisville athletics, works primarily with swimming and diving, cross country, and men's soccer. He also is the coordinator of the Sports Performance mentorship program.
Director of Sports Performance Teena Murray presented Dierking with his Masters jacket at the conference on May 8.
