The University of Louisville women's tennis team held on for a 4-3 win over Miami (Ohio), snapping the RedHawks' three match win-streak and moving its own record to 11-3.

The Cardinals dropped the doubles point to Miami (11-4, 2-0 MAC). The No. 1 doubles pair of Manuela Velasquez and Rebecca Shine won 8-0 over Christine Guerrazzi and Alix Thurman. The Redhawks tied the score with an 8-3 victory at No. 3 doubles when Christiana Raymond and Ramona Costea beat Julia Fellerhoff and Elle Stokes. With the doubles point on the line, Miami's No. 2 pair of Nimisha Mohan and freshman Andreea Badileanu beat Cassie Pough and Olivia Boesing 8-7 (7-4) in a tiebreaker to clinch.

The Cardinals roared back in singles, winning the first four matches led by Elle Stokes' 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 4. Rebecca Bodine struck next with a 6-3, 6-1 win over Ramona Costea at No. 5. Rebecca Shine pulled out a 7-5, 7-6 win at No. 2 and Manuela Velasquez clinched the match with a 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 comeback win at No. 3. Louisville hosts William and Mary at 2 p.m. on April 4 at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
