PROVIDENCE, R.I. - The University of Louisville's Katie Keller was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week on March 10.
Keller (Livermore, Calif.) batted .667 for Louisville at the Cardinals' Red and Black Classic, going 8-for-12 and crossing the plate at least twice over four games. The senior second baseman knocked in three RBIs as a result of her 3-for-4 performance in the Cardinals' 22-4 rout of Ohio and 4-for-5 outing against Ohio State. Also in the win over Ohio, Keller recorded her 200th career hit, becoming only the 11th player in Louisville history to reach that mark. She currently carries a .407 batting average and leads the team with 21 runs and seven doubles.
UofL (12-7) will play host to Illinois State Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Ulmer Stadium. Admission is free.
